JKA India (Kerala) conducted a first ever JKA India training camp exclusively for the southern part of the country on 12th and 13th of May 2012 at Kozhikode District of Kerala, India. Being the center of our ancient martial art form "Kalari Payattu", Kerala shall definitely be a very important destination for JKA India. Milan Trivedi Sensei was the camp instructor. Being the first camp, it was certainly a very small event and at the same time a gentle beginning as far as JKA India is concerned.

 

The teachings of Milan Sensei were definitely a revelation for us especially for non-JKA practitioners. The explanations and demonstrations of the intricacies of Kihon, which were never revealed so precisely and earnestly ever, were so marvelous that I cannot express in words. The participants were literally astonished with the versatile actions and movements, especially hip movements of Sensei and his teaching methods.

 

Some of the participants who were not practicing regularly changed their mind and realized that one lifetime may be short to reach the standard of JKA karate.

 

On behalf of JKA India (Kerala) and for South India as a whole; I thank Milan Sensei for his supportive nature and sincere effort to uplift the standard of Karate and looking forward to having more camps from him and eagerly waiting for a day when a JKA HQ Instructor lands in our place.
